werewolf vs vamp perk attainability

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:33 pm

I'm not really sure if I'm looking at this right, but from the descriptions in screen shots of the sky bound perk trees, as well as a few interviews, it kinda seems like the vamp perks will be a bit tougher to get than the werewolf ones. The way vamp perks are gained is through actually using the bite finisher and vampiric drain spells. The werewolf perks on the other hand, are gained through simply eating bodies (something you can casually do in every dungeon after the human you kills and loots everything). the bottom links show what I'm talking about. Maybe the ww has to eat a lot more to get a perk?

Meh, it's not an MMO, so it doesn't really matter if one is more overpowered than other.
Besides, considering how things are simplified in modern games I wouldn't be surprised if you could pretty much max out the perk tree after a dungeon or two.

My view on the Werewolf Vs Vampire Lord topic is that the Werewolf will have less abilities as a power, however they are supposed to be used for those people that want to deal a lot of damage in a short span of time. The Vampire Lord is for those people that are willing to spend time on there battles and know how to strategically use there powers to there advantage.
NOTE: ( I'm not saying you can't use the Werewolf's Knock down Attacks strategically )

Do you have to go through the perk tree every time you turn into a Vampire Lord or Werewolf?, or are these permanent perks?. I think it must be you have to get xxx kills every time you turn to unlock said perks which you then lose when you turn back to normal, otherwise it would be really easy to have every single perk in both Vampire Lord and Werewolf trees.

Thing is, if it is # of bodies you must eat, to get perks. I do not want to eat 200+ people to max out my perks, that is a waste of time and will make me annoyed...now if you needed to do quests to gain perks, that is a different story but I do believe that it is "# amount of times"

Personally, I'd prefer eat 200+ people over eat 20 people to max out the perk tree. Gives me much bigger feeling of accomplishment. Though I do understand that I'm probably a minority. And I believe there will be mods for people like me.

pretty sure you keep the perks for good once you get them. I was just talking about the actual attaining of them.

Here's a question you need to begin Dawnguard and become a Vampire Lord inorder to start acquiring the Vampire Lord perks. Now word is that begining Dawnguard has some requirements such as learning about shouts which means begining the mainquest which has a good deal of people in a twist. Now what about a werewolf? do they gain access to the perk tree automatically or do they need to actually begin the DLC for that?

How many people do you have to kill inorder to max out one-handed? or any combat skill. I'm betting ALOT more then 200.

a ww character will probably have the perk tree immediately upon starting the game with DG installed, or thats what i think at least.

Thats what I would assume but there might be complications to adding the perk tree to existing werewolves so it may require an additional action on the part of the player. I do hope its the case the werewolf perk tree is gained automatically upon DG installation as I have a level 5 werewolf with all the totems gathered in preperation.
