Hmmm, more than 30 days delay for Dawnguard for PC and PS3?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:13 am

I just read in the Game Informer article that the delay for Dawnguard for PS3 and PC is an "undisclosed" amount of time??? I thought they originally said there would be a 30 day delay on the first two DLCs. :stare:

Nothing we can do about it since microsoft payed more so we gotta wait. Well at least when they release it on the ps3 and PC it will be patched.

I don't know for sure, but I think its 30 days from the Xbox release date, and I think that the 26th is an intended release date, so I'm guessing there's a chance it'll get delayed...

This. The xbox date isn't set in stone, so why would the other platforms be?

I totally agree and I don't mind waiting some, but the article hints that it could be "months" later. That would not be cool.....

This. We should at least get a good patched version by the time it come out.

I personally have no problem with MS paying for the exclusive release date. More money to Bethesda is a good thing IMO. I can wait and it does give me more time to get my PC upgraded some more.

Oh well, more time to get my character prepared. I was just surprised because initially I thought they said it would be 30 days. Whatever.....

I think this comes from Todd Howard stating at E3 he had "no idea" when the PS3/PC launch would follow after the 360. What that actually means, we'll see (probably nothing).

You need to consider that any bugs found in the beta must be fixed and retested, some things may need rebalancing, or there may be larger glitches that take longer to fix. So, it is possible that the beta may need to be delayed on the xbox, pushing the other releases back even further. Then there is always the chance that the DLC may not run properly on the PS3 or PC.

This. My PC friend is a GOD with bows in that game. I can't wait to see what he can do with crossbows. My plan is to let him try it on 360 when i get it.

I'd really like to believe that the delayed release for PC/PS3 will mean that bugs will have been sorted out. I guess that's what the beta is for. But after having participated in the beta for 1.6, only to see no changes made when 1.6 finally came out for everyone, I'm ... skeptical.

The article is outdated, not the information of 30 days later.

Seeing as how June 26th release for Xbox isnt fully confirmed yet, they cannot confirm PS3 and PC release days.

If June 26th comes and Xbox gets it, expect it on PC/PS3 30 days later.

As long as the beta test goes as planed the Xbox release will be the 26th of this month and PS and PC will be the 26th ish of July. But all this rides on weather or not the beta testers do their job and report bugs, and weather or not said bugs can be fixed before the 26th. My hopes are high that it will be released on the 26th for Xbox and then 30 days after for everyone else, but in the back of my head I have my doubts that all the beta testers where in it to bug test, I wager most if not all where in it for early, free DLC which means next to no bug squashing, I really hope that the nagging feeling that I'm having is wrong but judging by a lot of the comments left behind in the Beta thread that was started I'm a little bit worried

They should make it where if you don't report any information back they disable the DLC, and you have to pay for it.
