Well- lets be honest- about the most expensive single purchase in the game weapon-wise is about 13k and housewise is what 25k ? Having a sum above 13k is pointless at any time if you have already bought the house.

Different strokes. Personally my character is relived not to have to trifle himself merchanting and looting for fluff money.

Not compared to Oblivion. I can sell one potion to one trader before they are skint in Skyrim, I've ended up just swapping for filled grand soul gems. I have about 140,000 septims at the moment; in Oblivion, with the maximum amount per item system, I would expect to have 2 or 3 million with a character after the same playing time.

Sadly no. Leveling smithing, enchanting and alchemy got me 200,000+ septims without trying.

Smithing hundreds of iron daggers then enchanting with banish nets you about 900g per. So much so I stopped selling them for profit and just dropped them in the streets. Bad move cause then 2 NPCs fought over 1 and killed the other. Funny, but now I just shove them in a chest in one of my houses as running around to all the merchants wasn't worth my time as I have too much money already.

I used to swap out my enchanted daggers and buy soul gems etc, but now I have so many of those I literally have nothing left to buy.
