Wait.....big mistake?

Umm guys i think i just noticed a bit of an error with the Civil war Questlineand further games. So, if you win with the Stormcloaks you kick the Legion out of Skyrim right? And if you win with the Legion the Stormcloaks are destroyed right?

So, in TES VI, how are bethesda going to implement who won? As we can choose in skyrim.... Are they just going to defaultly choose the winners were the Stormcloaks or Legion. How are they going to work around this? In every previous ES game there was only one outcome of this sort of sub-MQ. You may not choose to do the quest but there was always one outcome, what is going to happen now there are two?

TES VI will take place somewhere different, most probably, just like all the other TES games. There probably wont even be a mention of the skyrim civil war of 4th era 201.

TES VI will take place three or four thousand years in the future, with guns. It's called Fallout 4, Bethesda's last game this-generation.

As the nords continue to fight amongst themselves, I see only a clear path for a Thalmor invasion.

My guess is no matter what side you choose one side will come out dominant. For examples in history it will probably be mention the Skyrim Civil War and then have something like: "Despite the presence of the Dragonborn, the Alderi Dominion eventually overtook the Empire/independent nation of Skyrim..." etc. In other words no matter what side you choose one side will come out dominant no matter what. If you side with the Stormcloaks the Imperials will come back and reconquer Skyrim and lead a united front against the Alderi Dominion. That's what I think will happen?

Just because the Stormcloaks or Legion won against each other doesnt mean that its over. Some big event could happen after which TES VI would follow, not who specifically won in the civil war. Maybe the Thalmor will destroy whichever side won and that will be canon, or maybe the side that won will destroy the Thalmor and reunite Tamriel. The details like who won, the Stormcloaks or the Empire, wouldnt really matter then.

Edit: Mixing up one with won. Changed it.

There were six endings in Daggerfall. Bethesda consolodated them with http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Warp_in_the_West_%28event%29. Although I very much doubt we'll see another fiasco like that, Beth has probably already worked out how they'll get around your choices in the civil war.
