Is there anyone else who would like to see a different ending to the one that is already there? one where you do not have to kill General Tullius/Ulfric Stormcloak.
For General Tullius/Rikke: Once he has surrendered he can be sent home to Cyrodil. She can be sent to Cyrodil with him
For Ulfric Stormcloak/Galmar: They can both be sent to jail (which would stop Ulfric from being a martyr)
As an alternative to just taking a sword to the heart? The fact that she won't take the offer to go into exile is less understandable to me than Ulfric and Galmar going down with the ship. It's her choice, but it seems a foolish one.
Yeah, I would've liked to have some input into who the Jarls would be. I let Ulfric (or his 'captain') kill Tullius and I wish Rikke wouldn't have had to die.

At the end of the day, she's a true Nord. "Remember this, son of the North - a Nord is judged not by the manner in which he lived, but the manner in which he died." - Ysgramor
Perhaps.... to Rikke, a place in Sovngarde is far more important than living in a land not her own, among people who wouldn't understand either her, or her land of origin....
That's the rub of a Civil War, you know the people you kill firsthand, Rikke herself said that several Stormcloaks and their supporters were legionnaires in good standing. (Ulfric, Galmar and Vignar among them). The ending regardless I find rather bittersweet and not very glorious, I agree with the headmaster of the Bards College. There is no glory in killing fellow brother nords, fighting dragons on the other hand, does make for a better tale.
