Still Can't Marry Lydia?!

They couldn't have fixed this in the patch? How hard could it be Bethesda? Incompetence prevails again.

Marriage isn't even that good in this game. It's better you pretend that Lydia is your wife.

I don't think she was ever programmed to be marry-able.

She is. The marriage option dialogue is available once you meet all the requirements for marriage, unless it's bugged for you, like Grelka for me. Grelka was my first choice, but it's glitched.

I'm bothered by this, too. :/ I was hoping it'd be one of the things fixed.

Some people live full happy life's using your philosophy.

But yeah, marriage is only worth it for the 100g a day and that buff you get if your significant other happens to be close by when you wake up

Marriage works pretty good if like me you only married someone to get the gold she gives you from her trading business like I did. Then I go grab Lydia from my other house and we go do our thing across the land of Skyrim.

I'd "pretend" we're married, but frankly there's no way to get Lydia to move into my home in Solitude, that I know of, aside from marriage. I can't take her with me anymore as common Falmers can overwhelm her, so, being the sentimentalist I am, I want her to still be close at home.

It's weird I'm so attached to her. She was my follower almost from the start. She's been my bodyguard and companion for over 20 levels.
