How has your experience been with NPCs behavior?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 10:14 pm

Before we start, I would like to say just one thing. I remember something from IV: Oblivion, that was a toxic apple I could drop anywhere I wanted so a random NPC would pick it up, eat it and die.
That was pretty sweet that the NPCs would sometimes eat food they found on the table or floor.

Hmm, but in Skyrim I have not seen anything special than the usual NPC behavior bugs.
I have tried a few times to drop a sword in the middle of the market in Whiterun to see if anyone would pick it up but that never happened. :yucky:
But perhaps your experience has been different. :woot: How has your experience been with NPCs behavior?

Go to riften, enter the bar and wait till it is crowded. Drop a piece of food on the floor and watch.

The guy in Riverwood who buys wood likes to show up for work late too often.

The NPCs have acted normal most of the time for me, but I did get a massacre in Riften when I accidently dropped some enchanted armor. And there is the weird habit for people to enter my home to tell me random dialog. Other than that? Pretty normal as I mentioned.

Was sneak killing some bandits when I got over encumbered. I dropped some of the stuff only for the bandit leader to start running towards me. I assumed he somehow saw me and that he was going to attack. Instead he asked if he could have the armor I dropped. I said sure hoping he would go back to what he was doing so I could sneak kill him but he instead thanked me and proceeded to try to kill me.

Does that only happen in Riften? I've only managed to trigger that between Mjoll and that old guy who loves Stormcloaks, and it always ends with Mjoll killing the poor guy. So much for honor.

The guy in Whiterun who chops wood likes to show up for work flying through the sky.

Oh and after marrying Camilla from the Riverwood trader and moving her to my Whiterun home. I saw Faendal (the ex), exiting my house one day after my adventuring. I returned the favour by paying him a visit later as a werewolf.

The only time I've seen him show up is when dead bodies clog up the sawmill.
