Can you donate gold to a chapel or something? I'm trying to roleplay a character who steals from the rich and donates some of it to the poor or to the chapels. I hope you can do this. Thanks in advance for answering.

You can in Riften, but like 10 gold each donation only or something ridiculously low.

You can donate to the Mara temple.

Five at a time. No matter how rich you are, you can only donate five gold at a time in Riften's church.

Actually you can, mainly in Riften from what I have seen.

Other than that, I can not think of any other community focused groups that allow you to donate to them.

Ugh, I wish you could give a specific amount of gold to a group of people. Oh well.

You could just drop valuable items in the church and consider it "donating."

What about reverse pickpocketing the priests the gold? Anonymous donations are all the more noble.
