Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 4:43 pm

Hey everyone! I just tested, I threw up a quick wave file and I GENERATED A LIP FILE FOR IT!!!!

I have not tested it ingame, and I'm not sure how to get it into the Fuz format or if that is needed, but you can make LIP FILES! Ahhh! You can make from Wave or LTF format just like before.

No longer do we need to use the old 1.0 CS from Oblivion.

Thank you Bethesda! THANK YOU!

Excellent news!

I'll be needing some voice acting in the future, so that'll save me some trouble.

Don't hurt yourself over it. I'm going to be working on my project (in my sig) for a bit. Might get a release done by the end of the week that accomplishes.. something.

I will probably hurt myself pretty severely and will never come up for air! But it will be worth it! Haha!

Less positive news: Dialogue with no voice acting skips by instantly. Even faster than it did in Oblivion. So we're going to need either silent mp3s for all our non voiced dialogue (unless adding generic lipsyncing works as well), or a SKSE mod like http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16622. Probably the latter.

The game does not require you to .fuz your files it also will allow you to leave the sounds as .wav (VERY UN-RECOMMENDED) or convert them to .xwm <- this is how you should distribute them as .xwm/,lip combo's unless you really really want to .fuz them.

Do you know if Ogg is still supported? That's what I've done in the past, though I would of course do .xwm if that's better.

I do not know I did not convert any of my Beta files into that format... you can give it a try and see.

Yes, but Argonian faces are no longer visible in "preview head," and I'm working on a mod that involves adding new Argonian NPCs. Argh! :swear:

But at least they finally fixed that lip sync function, though. Let's hope they keep it working, as well as fix that issue with Argonians.
