NPCs not wearing their clothes in the CK

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:32 pm

So I've made some NPCs, but for some reason when I place them in a cell, they're not wearing their clothes. I haven't tested it in-game yet, because I've only placed them in a cell to make sure they look good in certain lighting conditions, so I don't really want them in-game yet. They have their clothes in their inventories, but they just don't seem to wear them in the cell.

Anyone else figured this out?

Weird. I found that when I was previewing my new NPC in the CK, his clothes wouldn't display unless they were in an 'Outfit' rather than just items in the inventory. Not sure if that has to be set that way for certain though.

If this CK works the way the ones for Fallout 3 and New Vegas did, it's because you have nvde mods installed. The CK will display the game in the render window based on any mods you have installed, including those.

Weird, but it WILL display their inventories if you don't have texture or mesh replacers for bodies installed?

I don't really mind, I can test in-game to see what my NPCs look like with their inventories, and I got quite used to seeing editor nudity when modding Oblivion and giving NPCs levelled items (which had the same result).

HAHAHA,as if I'd install nvde mods.

Will try the outfit thing, Eisoj5.
EDIT: Thanks, it was because they weren't in an outfit. My bad, I was expecting inventories to work the same as they always have. :D
