Just a heads up for anyone experiencing "creation kit ha

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 6:32 pm

If, like me, you were getting the "creation kit has stopped working" message upon loading the Skyrim.esm. Disabling ENB (I.e removing enb.ini and the d3d9.dll) has solved it for me.

Don't know if anyone is having a similar problem under the same circumstances, but just in case this could save someone a little hassle I thought I'd post.

I can usually load Skyrim.esm fine, but whenever I try to load my existing mod developed with SkyEdit as an active plugin, it stops responding and crashes everytime before it finishes loading. Would be nice to find a fix for this, since I'd really rather not have to do all the work I had done over again in the CK.

You'd think this was something the beta testers would have reported.

It only froze up for me if I load up both the Skyrim and Update .esm files. If I just load up Skyrim.esm without Update.esm I don't get the crashing problem...

personally, I don't use it, never occurred to me to try! Either way, I don't think it's in Bethesdas interest to support injector-dlls or whathaveyou.

Weird.

I can load Skyrim.esm separate, or together with Update.esm just fine, it's just when I try to load an existing plugin that it crashes.

a couple of above posters are somewhat off topic, I believe the OP was talking about those who get the described error message before the CK even finishes loading itself.

i.e. before the program is even ready to load any game data or assets, which is what the rest of you seem to be describing.

I removed a couple leftover .dll's from my skyrim folder, but still having the "creation kit has stopped working" message appear.

there is another thread adressing this, but might be good to keep 'em both up top for now.

any ideas?

Exactly what I mean, also, should I be loading both the Skyrim.esm and the update.esm?
