Quick question that I could use answered.

The CK wiki states that Bethesda won't host "copyrighted or trademarked material on the Skyrim Workshop." What exactly does that cover? I assume that it simply means you can't import a model from another game, but you know what they say about assuming. Can I not make (via 3d modeler program) armor based from a character in a different game? Sorry if this is i the wrong place but I figured since it was about the CK/SW I might ask here. Any help is appreciated!

What you suggest may be considered a gray area that leans closer to the dark side. If I were you, I'd try to be creative and make mods based solely on your own work rather than someone else's.

If you make stuff based on art from some other game, especially if you put a lot of work into it, it's all for naught if they pull the mod from the workshop or blacklist it.

Just my personal opinion.

Exactly. That's why before I do any work I figured I'd ask here. I've seen a mod for a sword from the Lord of the Rings but I wasn't going to go based solely on that. Worst case senario: I create the armors based on other games but don't upload them to the workshop; I simply use them myself.

Or upload them to the Nexus. They may simply conflict with Bethesda's terms not whoever made the original art.
