I can't find the creation kit

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 5:26 pm

Alright so on Steam I looked under View and then Tools but I can't find the creation kit on the list and I've looked through it very carefully. I see some modding tools for fallout but not Skyrim. Can someone tell me if I can find somewhere else to download it or if im looking under the wrong section?

Thanks.

Its name in the tools list is simply "Creation Kit"

You may have to restart steam before it shows up, if you haven't already done so.

If that doesn't do it, make sure your beta patch opt-out is turned off. Doing so will force Steam to update and the CK should show up after that.

Under tools in the library it's listed as "Creation Kit" only, kinda stupid they don't tell you what its for as it's in the list for many other games as well. But when you click on install you then see the bethesda screen. I just installed it.

Is steam seriously required to get the CK?

Well steam is required to download Skyrim in the first place on PC so I'm assuming so. Might be someone will make an external download link though.

You already need Steam for Skyrim, so what's the issue?

Bethesda wont, and if anyone else does that is a no-no.

I did not know that. I haven't gotten Skyrim on PC yet because I can't run it optimally... yet.
