I'm currently in the process of converting Lydia in to a mage, and am having trouble with her bow, which I can't seem to find out how to rid her of. It's not in her inventory, and I can't seem to find the data for it anywhere in her NPC info. Does anyone know where I can at least find the condition that's causing her to have this bow?

skyrimnexus has some mods who solves this, look at them, think it's an script who add it just to anoy you and increase the chance of arrow in the knee.
