Getting custom hair to appear correctly

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 5:49 pm

Anyone had much success with this because I cant seem to get it to work correctly.

I added the hair mesh to a head part and then added that head part to a NPC but the hair doesn't show up and when it does it appears way above in the air.

Anyone figured this out yet?

Is this a custom hair model? It sounds like it wasn't set up properly in the .nif, hair and head models work a bit goofy here.

Most likely the center coordinates in NiTriShape are srewing it up (your Z coordinate is probably way higher than the original should be). I had the same problem with a custom head model. The only way I found to get rid of it is using Transform on NiTriShape to manually lower it down, setting lesser Z axis value.
