Run Havok Sim doesn't work or im just stupid

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 1:51 am

Hello guys.
I have a problem. In the tutorial they say:
1. Select one of placed ruinsPot*s you've placed
2. Raise and rotate it in mid-air above the floor
3. Keeping the object selected, press the Havok button
4. Allow the pot will fall to the ground and roll around until it settles
5. When satisfied with the positioning of the pot, turn settling back off.

But when im pressing the button Run Havok Sim nothing happens. What am i doing wrong?!

Make sure that the option directly below to Run Havok Sim is not selected, to me it interfered with the havok sim.

Make sure the object even has physics. Statics cant move around, and I recall from gameplay that those large pots are static objects. Try something more obvious to test, like a cup, plate or other item you KNOW you can move around in the world.

1stPersonBasicKnife is a static as well. Look at it's little icon (By it's name in the object window). See how it's a little blue house thing? That means static. Also, first person weapons are what's displayed in, well, first person. The actual world objects are different. In the Filter type something like Carrot, and find the carrot and try that. It's little icon should be a gray thing with lines coming out, not a blue 'static' house.

Aaa thanks. I have to use movable static instead of just static. Thank you now it works fine.
