sugested settings to work on exteriors?

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 2:38 pm

I find that the exterior window is extremely erratic , hard to work with , unfriendly and honestly behaves differently sometimes there is no way to navigate the world with normal arrows or intuitive camera controls , so I am asking to more expert people what's the ini settings to have to have a broad view of the landscape where to build , have loaded the needed stuff without load reload at a simple camera movement , what's the best setting to work fine with the ck in exteriors?

Some kind of FOV tweak would be a godsend. However people have asked for that since Fo3 G.E.C.K and it didn't happen.

So far I'm having no issues navigating around with shift / v / space and r/l mb. Is there something specific you're having issues with?

stff appear and disappear as I rotate the camera , the camera is mostly erratic qhen I enter exit other cells on item selected ,when I rotate around a object the camera gets mad and gets upside down , make the object invisible or other amenities ... Its total rubbish to work on an exterior like that I honestly seriously doubt this was the "real" internal editor , as that for exterior is simply too buggy that I spent 2 hours just to retrieve lost items in exteriors even if I had still them selected ....

That definitely sound annoying to me.

Not sure exactly what you mean by stuff appearing and disappearing as you rotate the camera - if you're in Tamriel you can travel across cells in the Render Window throughout the wilderness and the window will have to load and unload objects that are within and outside of the cell/frustum. You'll notice the Cell View window update with new data based on where you're looking and what cell you're in.

As for the camera being eratic when you "enter exit other cells on item selected" I need to ask for clarification on that since I'm not sure what you mean.

Have you checked in the camera prefs? There are some speed and invert tweaks in there.
