CK and Win 7 DPI Scaling

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 5:41 am

Is there any way to, other then a program patch/fix, to make the CK adjust to a larger DPI then the standard 96?

I prefer to run at 125% percent because of my weak mole-like eyes. But, in the CK, this causes the text to become clipped. A example is in the Actor dialogue for the level scaling. At 100% (standard) the Calc Min and Calc Max can be read just fine. Set it to 125% and you can only read the Calc part, the rest gets shoved off.

Reading some Windows Dev blogs it looks like this is because the program is coded to a 96 dpi and doesn't size the windows. I am guessing that to fix/add this function would be a pain so I'm looking for any work arounds.

According to one blog I can run Windows at my normal 125% and then force the CK to disable the custom DPI (should fix the clipping, though it will still run in tiny text mode) via the compatablity tab. For right now I think that is my best option.

I would prefer for it to adjust to the scaling so I can read it better, though.

Take a look at the workaround suggested http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1345462-resizing-the-ck-windows-theyre-too-big/page__view__findpost__p__20281086.
