Prison Markers

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 5:46 am

Hey,

I'm trying to move some PrisonMarkers, but moving them seems to have no effect in-game. According to the CK wiki:

"Prison Marker: Created automatically, these represent the location where a player will be placed when sent to or released from jail."

Since they're created automatically, I'm now wondering if it's even possible to move them. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Thanks,

Danjb

I can move them by simply dragging them around, and I end up where I put them in game. How far are you trying to move them?

There's the two prison markers, one inside and one outside each linked to the other as Linked Door, and one teleport marker for each, but you probably know that. Move them as a pair. One prison marker with one teleport marker.

You might also look at CrimeFaction as the crime tab has things that might be relevant.

Thanks for the reply, but no luck :(

I am moving the one that's outside the prison. I am only moving them a short distance, but when I load the game with my mod running, on a clean save, I end up in the usual place; I don't mean when I actually go to jail, but when I pay off my crimes.

It should be moving just fine. Unlike Oblivion, load doors do not permanently stick to their locations and can be moved. UNLESS there's a script that references it, like with the door to Honeyside in Riften.

Nope, still no luck.

* It's definitely in the right place in the editor
* Plugin file is definitely saved
* Plugin file is definitely ticked in the launcher

And yet when I commit a crime in-game and choose to pay my fine, I appear at the PrisonMarker's original position!

Any other ideas?

Just to confirm this ...

If you go the the jail marker (base object "PrisonMarker" 00000004) inside the prison cell. Open the properties. From the teleport tab, click the "View Teleport Marker" button. It will take you there. It will load the cell where the teleport marker is and the marker will be selected. It will not be the green one that looks like a minuture green cage, although I move that too to keep them together. Is the highlighted marker what you moved, and is it where you think you put it?

Thank you!! I was moving the PrisonMarker object and not the teleport marker. That actually makes a lot of sense! Thanks a lot.
