Hello I've read a few topics here about the same problem i'm having but no one seems to have an straight forward answer that works. I can't get the quest to begin. I finished Diplomatic Immunity but still nothing happens. Can some PLEASE HELP.

Is there any way to fix this? Please anybody. Simple yes or no will do.

you will have to wait for bethesda latest patch (1.4) on xbox live, otherwise start a new game or be patient like the rest of us (I've been stuck for a month on a the same problem, hopefully waiting for this patch to work). sorry no quick fix....

Dont think the patch is fixing this issue. Gstaff said it has been passed to the dev team, but this was after the patch notes came out

Try an earlier save.

I had no issues with this quest to be honest.

But have read on a different forum that some glitches can be solved by simply restarting from a slightly earlier point. Worth a go.

Just want to say that I am another player who has the exact same problem. For some reason the quest will simply not start for me.

This quest wouldn't start for me, too. I ended up starting a new character just to finish the storyline quests. Pretty frustrating, but it's taken so long to patch that my second character is already level 35 (my main was 54).
