A few dungeon issues

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 5:38 pm

I've got some simple problems, but I can't seem to figure out the solutions.

First, how can I make/pose a corpse? Everything seems to have a read-only base health of 50, even generic corpses.

Second, how do leveled creature spawns work? Dragging the leveled list from the menu onto the render window apparently doesn't work anymore, but it seems that's how it's been done before.

I'd appreciate if anyone could help with these. Sorry for the noob questions, but I honestly can't find any answers.

1. Create an NPc, Tell it to start off dead, Then run the havok simulation, You can then drag the corpse arround. 2, Not sure unfortunately

Oh, it's a box in the individual object's properties, not the base object. Thanks!

I've found that leaving the havoc sim running and then jerking the corpse around will make for better appearances. They tend to all fall the same way.

You may want to set the doomed being above some stairs then turn Havok on with them up in the air. Should get you some more varied positions. There should also be a checkbox for 'Do not Havok Settle' in it's porperties for when you have it in a position you like. That way you can make sure that is what your player will encounter until they interact with it, just incase some wierd physics should happen before they get there.
