I think I have a good idea for an expansion pack.

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 11:35 pm

We all know the Thalmor will try and destroy the Empire eventually. So why not have an expansion pack on it? It should be where the Dragonborn fights off the Thalmor with the help of the factions he has power over. So if you finished the Dark Brotherhood and Companions' questlines you can have the Companions be an elite team of Scouts and the Dark Brotherhood a highly skilled team of Assassins.

The Thieves' Guild can be a network of intelligence, the College of Winterhold can be; okay I'm not sure what they would be. I know they would be Mages fighting the Thalmor.

Any thoughts?

Or if you for some reason support the Thalmor, you can join them.

My Altmer supports the Thalmor, unless there's an option to pick a side a la stormcloak/imperial quest I would not favour such an expansion.

If you can't help the Thalmor no deal.

I have a racist Altmer character who would like nothing better than to crush the puny Medes.

Yes but if you want to use other factions to aid you than good luck. Because you'll have to have a lot of speechcraft to persuade them.

I would like that but in Hammerfell. I can see it now. I'm leading all the fine Redguard warriors, destroying all the Thamor n my path. Then I conquer them and then the Empire. Only Black Marsh shall be spared becuase lizards are cool.
In a serious note, having the Dark Brotherhood assassinate key Thalmor leaders would be cool and the Companons could ambush them on the roads. The thieves guild could take all their money and the Winterhood could use magic on their sorry ***!

Really? You think the Dark Brotherhood cares who they work for? As for the other factions, instead of rallying support from them you could rally their enemies.

Imperial/Stormcloaks: DB, Thieves, Winterhold, Companions.

Thalmor: DB, Summerset Shadows, Falmer, Silverhand.

The Thalmor have no interest in destroying the Empire, they want to destroy mankind in general. They want to uncreate mankind from ever having existed, to have a reality of only Mer.

I kinda want something that deals with restoring/ finding the Falmer in their original Mer state before they were distorted.

Eh... I'm not sure.

Even if you're the Listener, I just don't see the DB working for a cause in a war.

I like it- the guilds of Skyrim band together to create one super army to defeat the mighty Thalmore.
Sounds to good to be true though.

how are the Falmer opposites of Winterhold? Yeah I haven't done any Winterhold quests yet.

They're not, I haven't gotten around to doing the winterhold lines either but from the looks of things Thalmor seem to be their opposite. But since they're the main faction on the otherside, Falmer would fill in the anti-nord/Skyrim, that way you still have a line up.

I think you got a name mix up. The Falmer are the blind and distorted snow elves that mainly live underground

No I didn't considering the nords drove them [falmer] underground and they [falmer] apparently have plans to reconquer the surface, hence the Anti-nord/Skyrim angle. Where as I'm pretty sure the Thalmor 'observer' in Winterhold ends up being the antagonist in the college quest line. Not to mention the falmer and Altmer were aligned during the time of Ysgramor against the humans, so it would make sense for the Thalmor to try and bring the Falmer in should they see an oppurtunity to do so. It's not a 'perfect' opposites fit, but overall the factions align rather well against one and other.
