I am just curious. Say someone has a few dozen screenshots and wants to link to a gallery on their website. Assuming there are no advertisemants posted on these gallery pages, that the screenshots are unedited, and also that proper credit is given to Bethesda for their property along with a link back to their website on every page on which the screenshots appear, what is the general policy on this?

I see people posting screenshots all the time, I know, but that is not the issue. I see people doing a lot of things all the time which are not technically “correct” to be doing.

I guess I am just asking, is it cool to post unedited screenshots with proper credit given, or would someone potentially get in trouble for this? If the later, how are so many getting away with it?

The way I look at it, so long as these criteria are clearly met, it would be free advertising. But I just thought I’d ask what other’s impressions would be.

There have been screenshot threads in the forums for years, thousands of images, millions of views. I don't think you have anything to worry about. People post their screenshot portfolios all the time. As long as you're not trying to sell them, I doubt anyone at BGS cares.

I think someone took their freshman law class a little too seriously....
