I searched for this on Google but found nothing similar...

Before you hit the browser's back button, let me tell you that this post is NOT about the Markath guards attacking you in a loop. I already got that one and managed to fix it long ago.

This is my situation. I recently ended the civil war by killing Ulfric. Windhelm is now crowded with imperial soldiers. I already own the house on Markath (got it before the war advanced too much).

I was around doing some quests related with the Dragonborn, and after some time I was sent to somewhere near Markath. As I had a couple quests to deliver there, I decided to take advantage of the travel and headed to the city.

- First surprise: all guards outside were still dressed as Stormcloacks. Apparently there are no imperial soldiers or guards there. Nothing special here because I don't know how the story develops.

- Second surprise: just after I open the door to the city, I hear someone say: "A fight!!", and suddenly 3 IMPERIAL soldiers (not guards) attack me, while the Markath guards keep walking around. I took them down (with sadness, as I'm playing as an imperial), and things continued as if nothing happened.

- Third surprise: I enter the Jarl's building to deliver one of the quests, and I walk past the guards with no problem, but right as I'm getting near the stairs, I hear the usual "Is someone there??" thing, and both the Jarl and his company enter hostile mode, including the Thalmor around, and kill me. When I load the game I sneak-attack (archery) the Jarl. Guards do NOTHING and all of them come again to kill me. The Jarl and the steward can't die, but the thalmor do. Misteriously, after I killed the thalmor, I find that both the Jarl and the steward get up from crouching, stop the fight, and go back to their places.

Looks like their hostility was related with the thalmor hostility (I recently did the Thalmor Embassy party quest, and also killed a mercenary in Riften that apparently was sent there to kill me).

After that, nothing special seems to happen... I walked around the city selling some stuff, visited my home and went out to walk north to Solitude. I don't know when I'll be back around Markath again to check if anything similar happens, but everything that happened there lookes like a bit strange...

I don't know if this is a known bug, but if I need to post more info, just tell me.
