CS 'Not Responding' whenever I try to load up a cell

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:38 am

Hi there,

Can any one help?

Any time I try to load up a cell to alter it, my CS freezes and comes up as 'Not Responding'.

I can browns the render window if no mods are loaded up, but if I load any mod it will suddenly freeze and I have to close down the CS to restart it. It means I can't place new objects or spawns into my mod, which has left me unable to progress any further!

Can anyone help? Anyone had any freezing problems that they've managed to resolve?

Thanks!

If you load any mod the entire thing needs to reinitialize. The ESM reloads and everything. Wait it out.

The best way to avoid this is to select whatever mods you want to have loaded at the same time you select Skyrim.esm.

Any idea how long?

I mean that I open the CS, load my mod. I then find a cell I want to edit, and click it. It begins to load, an image appears in the render window and immidiately the CS whites out and the 'Not Responding' error comes up. I've left it for several minutes, but it doesn't seem to come back? Do I need to wait longer?

No you're right... that doesn't sound normal... Not sure what the cause is.

The mod you load. is it one of your own mods or one you downloaded and want to edit?

One of my own. It's edited leveled lists and added some new items - nothing I'd imagine would cause the render window to crask on every cell, whether my stuff is in it or not!

The mod works perfectly in the game with no errors or crashes. Don't know why it does with this mod...

Have you tried restarting your computer?

First, it's CK, not CS, and have you tried reinstalling the CK? Maybe that would help...

I tired that - Was wondering if it's a problem with the mod somehow.

Would anybody be willing to open it up in their CK and give it a try?
