What is Update.esm? : V

is it a leftover from the beta? is it necessary to run? Is enabling that how to have an updated(patched) game?

I have had that since the moment I installed Skyrim. Well maybe not the moment, the first time I started adding mods to my game and launched Bash I noticed it. Mine has never been checked so I just leave it unchecked.

I believe it always gets auto-loaded (even if unchecked) and it is the updated official data.

It is the Day One Patch.

I think if you go to 1.4, this goes away.
