Getting specific AR with script?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:47 am

I have never scripted in my life before, so please forgive me for asking newbie questions.

Is it possible, and if so, how would you get the AR of a specific equipped piece of armor on an actor?

For example, I have an NPC wearing a custom briastplate from a mod. It's also wear a helmet, boots, and gauntlets. I would like to be able to find out the AR of only the briastplate.

I'm aware of WornHasKeyword, but what if I'm looking for the AR?

Also, would the AR be the base AR of the armor or would it be the AR with the NPC's skill factored in?

Thank you! :-D

I'm fairly certain AR translates into DamageResist (Actor Value)
There isn't a function to get the armor rating of a piece of armor, but even if there were, there is more that factors into it when NPCs have armor perks

Thank you. I suppose there's also no way to get the base Damage value of a weapon, then, eh? :-)
