I got into mercer's house & used 'tcl' to get onto upper balcony over porch then used Valk/Vald's key to enter. I got Mercer's plans but cannot turn them into Brynjolf.
What can I do?
I have the plans but Bryn is not talking about it so I can't give it to him & I am stuck!!! Please help or tell me it is a new bug b/c I can't find any reference to it.
I did go back & shoot the ramp down & went inside again to "infiltrate' his house but it didn't help just eliminated that part of the quest - the other still cannot be completed...very frustrating.
I also played through about 4 levels before trying to resume this, so i don't want to go back THAT far to try & start again. The mercer's Plans I have cannot be dropped either, they are a quest item.

I figured out it was broken by using a console command to get to the upper porch. I broke in, got Mercer's plans & didn't go back outside & shoot the arrow into the gears on the ramp before going to do other things for THREE levels. THAT allows me to complete the 'infiltrate ' portion which, if skipped breaks it .I went back into a save-game inside & fixed it that way but wish I didn't have to lose those 3 levels - I have no clue what I did in those three so many quests - hate to lose it all over one messed up quest. Anyone who may know how to fix it w/o going all the way back i would appreciate it greatly.
