Custom bows not dropping propertly

I don't post here often, but got plenty of help last time, so i'm going to try my luck again. I'm trying to take a bow retexture, and add it in as a seperate item. All i've changed were the nif, to follow the new texture (changing the name of course making it a new Nif) and i reassigned the model and 1st person model to the new nif (if i remember correctly, both the 1st person and world model use the same nif). the bow works fine in game, but when i drop it, it doesn't go in front of me, it appears somewhere else random nearby (like one floor above me or somewhere i just can't find). The mesh is an original skyrim mesh, not a mod added mesh, the original bow drops fine in game.

edit: if there is already a similar post i'm sorry, i checked by searching or "bow"

This isn't a direct issue with your problem, but you dont need to make a new mesh to import a retexture in skyrim. you can use the texture set and utilize the sets to retexture a new id.

Edit: okay, i redid the esp completely, using texturesets..now it's working. so this thread has served its purpose :)
