Actor Values Help please

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 6:41 am

Hi
Can someone please explain what these Skill Type Actor Values mean in the CK?
  • Skill Use Mult
  • Skill Use Offset
  • Skill Improve Mult
  • Skill Improve Offset
Perhaps by using examples and/or a formula?

To give you a context, I am creating my own personal "slower levelling mod" which
  • Slows levelling of Pickpocket, Speech and Lockpick by a factor of 10
  • Slows levelling of all other skills by a factor of 2

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but my internet searches and experimentation in game has given me some understanding but not all.
Thanks

I'll revive this thread because I have exactly the same question. What do the four values exactly mean? No one knows? How do the slower leveling mods work without knowing anything about it? Do they simply reduce all values by the same amount?

Is this in the context of editing Perks or somewhere else?

It's in the actor values list in character>actor values. It's only available for skills (which makes sense, since it apparently controls the leveling rate), for other actor values it's grayed out.

Skill use mult can be set on magic effects to affect the amount of exp you get toward the spells av for using it. I'm guessing its an option on the base skill so that you get credit for things like pickpockets/weapon swings. I assume that modifying that would change the rate at which you gain exp for non magic skills.

Another guess, Skill Improve mult sounds like it might affect how much exp you need for the next level of a skill.

I don't even want to hazard a guess at the offset values.
