[Help] Making a character sit down animate other characters

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:19 am

Hey guyss.

Just a small question, I have a character and whenever I place him down he isn't even in the correct room when the game loads up.

I want him to be sat in a chair in a sort of office and I have no idea how to do this.

Also, how do I make characters walk around my level freely because they sort of just stand around currently.

Thanks for any help in advance.

If your NPC has zero AI packages the game automatically applies a generic Sandbox AI -> meaning they will move about and use any furniture markers within the radius of the default package.

If you want them to do specific things your going to have to give them a AI package that tells them specifically what they need to be doing and what they are allowed to do while doing the primary task and at what times they are to be doing it....

Just as an example most of my Town NPCs' usually end up with 5-10+ packages each -> sleep, work, recreation, quest related, and some dynamic (or random run that gives the npc something that resembles life and not robot like punctuality for everything.
