Nifscope magic?

So its been a long time since I did any real modding and I had a question or two. Is it still possible to have a one handed sword in the 2 hand slot? Like have a sword on your back where a two hander would normally be but when drawn be a one hander? If I'm not mistaken, this was done in Nifscope back in the Oblivion days. Also I have seen some stuff on the limitations of animations this time around. I know that textures can still be animated but can you have part of a weapon mesh move currently (like gears or something) or has that died for the time as well? ~Shock

You can do that -> you can even animate weapons to specific actions thanks to how beth did Bows and the Tail this time around so weapons like -> Flails and Whips are easily created and animated.

Nif work requires just knowing how things are suppose to be set up for the most part you should be able to copy paste any of the flame billboards into a weapon.nif without to much hassle just make sure you update the header with the node names and attach the pasted nodes to the new indexes.

Now when you get into coping a Particle System things are going to get harder as these nodes need to be named exactly as they were in the origin file.

Thanks for the response Saiden. I checked out some of the tuts you had on your site just for back reference. I also googled some stuff and found some tid bits. Could you link some tuts that you may know of, that deal with Particle systems in Nifscope and animated weapon meshes?

Wiki's are a good start there are quite a few tutorials from previous games that will still be good for this copy/paste of p systems.
