Work in group with CK

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:11 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm new with mod making. I never made one. And that's why I don't know if both a friend and I could possibly work on just one plugin together.
I think not, but maybe you know some tricks. Maybe we can make one plugin with two plugins ?

If it's not possible, I think we will just work on two different plugins players will have to dl and add together.
What do you think ?

Thanks and sorry because i'm sure some already ask (and i didn't find it).

Just share the plugin with him, let him download it and then use something like dropbox so that whenever any of you adds something to the mod, it gets auto synced with dropbox so your friend can download too.

I understand it, but my question is "at the same time" ?
For example : I work on level Design and my friend work on Quest at the same time of the day.

Thank you for your answer by the way.

You could work on separate ESPs and then merge them using a tool such as TESVSnip.

Thank you SomeWelshGuy.

It looks like exactly what i was looking for. Just one question : Is it easy to use ? You don't really have to answer, because I will make some search on it.

Thank you very much again.

AFAIK you can merge a mod into another mod in Wrye Bash, but you need to convert an esp to esm first and merge an esp into an esm then copy an esm into an esp or espify the esm into an esp. Before you begin just to make sure backup your mod files first.

If you want to have Mod-A merged into Mod-B or Mod-B merged into Mod-A then do this in Wrye Bash.

merge Mod-A >> Mod-B
esmify Mod-B.esp into Mod-B.esm
merge Mod-A.esp into Mod-B.esm
espify Mod-B.esm into Mod-B.esp

merge Mod-B >> Mod-A
esmify Mod-A.esp into Mod-A.esm
merge Mod-B.esp into Mod-A.esm
espify Mod-A.esm into Mod-A.esp
