Extra Gold and Speechcraft... What Do, What Do...

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 4:24 pm

Y'know what might be a nice addition, provided you have the gold and the Speechcraft required...

Hiring out a Bandit fort and sending them on raids where you get a portion of the profit, and perhaps hiring them (or other NPCs) to do crafting for you... setting up an actual network of Thieves and Assassins rather than being the only one that does anything (why am I the one doing everything once I hit a certain level in the DB?), buy out a few Bandit forts to create a territory of mine own and the like?

I would certainly be down with making a pure Warrior character, who does no Alchemy, Smithing, or Enchating, who pays people to make the potions, equipment, and enchanted items that he wants or needs.

Want a Legendary Scimitar with 20 pts of Fire and Frost damage on it? Awesome, just pay for it to be done. Pay for the materials and the man-power, give it a day while you quest or level your Warrior combat abilities, come back and collect your paid for item.

Thoughts?

I'd love this as well :smile:

I think it would be amazing.

Imagine hiring out a Bandit troupe to sweep through a Giant camp.

This is something I would definitely pay extra for be it DLC or a full expansion.

Add on the ability to perhaps even purchase shops, not just "invest" which gives them extra money, but actually purchase them so that you now get a cut of profit from everything "sold."

If NPCs actually ever buy anything >>;

I don't really care about the hiring bandit part but I'd love the option to request gear to be smithed/enchanted or to have potions made. I'd also like some long term money sinks like maybe buying your own mine that you can expand (and have to deal with Radiant Story events like finding a few silver veins and the Silver Blood Family trying to take over your mine or stuff like that).

Yeah, I would love to do things of that nature.

I'd even like it if you could purchase up places in cities, maybe even oust the Black-Briers.

The problem with that is even a small thing like that takes a lot of effort to make. I've seen some customizable houses in Oblivion and the good ones had at least one or two long quests involved. And I'm not talking about quests for the player to take, I'm talking about ones that run in the background making sure the game doesn't break itself when you try to upgrade a part of the house.

This is not the game they made. I would like to have the options of becoming overlord of the undead minions and raising them to wipe out humanity but thats not Bethseda's game either. You should think about making a game that revolves around this.

I have notebooks and PC folders filled with concepts for that kind of stuff already. I just want the CK, because then I can actually put some of my ideas into motion.
