Is it just me or are all Redguards very nice?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:50 am

I've noticed that just about every Redguard in the game is very nice.

Every race has quite a bit of mean people but all Redguard Npcs seem very nice. (Except Nazeem)

Hammerfell must be a great place with good values.

Brenuin, the drunkard in Whiterun
Saadia, the possible traitor to a whole nation
Kematu, a manipulative would-be assassin (I side with Saadia every time even though she is not as convincing because Kematu is in Swindler's Den)
There really aren't that many Redguards in Skyrim tbh

Let me tell you a story.
I'm walking out of Windhelm, minding my own business. And a Redguard clad in dwarven armor springs forth from the treeline. I feel threatened, but all the redguard has to say is how inferior i am to him. So i tell him to stop, but that doesn't sway him. He says he is the greatest warrior, and attacks me.
After a battle, in which i had the pleasurable chance to perform a slow motion "finishing move", i thought to myself -"Thats what that jerk deserves"

So, i don't think they are all that nice.

Except, Kematu...
Spoiler
isn't an assassin - his job is to take "Saadia" into custody and return her to Hammerfell for a fair trial for crimes against Hammerfell
He's just a bit too hard-line toward his own troops.

Umm, Kematu is a pretty reasonable and nice guy.

He isn't an assasin.

*Spoiler* below highlight to view.

If you kill Saadia after he paralyzes her.

He will say "All that work and you just kill her, you ruined everything!"

If he was an assasin then killing her wouldn't have been a problem.

I usually play Nords. However, I like the Redguards very much. They are able to successfully resist the Thalmor, something not everyone can say.

I wonder if it is affected by what race the OP is... it can happen, sometimes

I came across a few treasure hunters on a small island in the middle of a river somewhere. I thought they might let me help them out but nope, they attacked me. And they didn't even have a map or any treasure on them. Waste of my time.
