What is the thalmor view of dark elves?

In Morrowind the Dark Elves did not view the High Elves with much respect. I doubt they would join up with the Thalmor.

I am not sure how the Thalmor view the Dark Elves tough, maybe they do not like them since you could consider them as corrupted High Elves.

The Thalmor's official policy is to protect and save all elvenkind. Many Altmer are pretty full of themselves but at least on an official level they treat other elves better than Ulfric's boys ever would.

I could honestly see Dark Elves trying to start a war with the Thalmor just because they annoy them.

As it is, Dunmer already get pretty offended by the attitude of High Elves, and the Thalmor are that but 100 times more arrogant.

Dark elves are the most "human" out of the elves actually. In terms of attitude anyways.

And yeah, most of them hate the high elves' attitude

The Dunmer are pretty much a race of Grumpy old men.

There is an in-game book called the Firsthold Revolt about the Dunmer queen of a Altmer city on Summerset Isle. In the story the Altmer nobility revile her because of her race.

Pretty much any race, when sterotyped, is just as egoist as the Altmer.

How did Tiber Septim defeat the Altmer and bring them into the Empire? With the Numidium. Who gave him the (at the time powerless) Numidium? Are the Thalmor the type to bear a grudge for generations?

Yes and it's still fighting too. I've seen references to elves still fighting it, through time.
I think the Dunmer have come so far from their Chimer, let alone Aldmer ancestry, that it has to cause some friction with the Thalmor.

They are not unlike the Enclave in that regard.

And no one besides said purebred summerset altmer voluntarily join the thalmor. They just "re-educate" non-altmer to join.

The dunmeri are considered cursed by the Altmeri. They worshipped the wrong aetheric beings and were changed/punished for it. Add to that they not only aren't afraid to get their hands bloody, they kinda like it. They potentially live just as long as any other mer, and are pretty much generalists. Not as great with magic, but they can compensate with steel. They pretty much went their own way millenia ago, and have no real interest in boot-licking to the Altmer. They seem to integrate better with humans than most other races, when push comes to shove. And as integral as family (and family politics) are to them, they are not going to be easy to sway, and even harder to deceive.

I suspect that the Thalmor did something to incite the Hist driven invasion of Morrowind. Neatly castrated the one elven nation that would have stood against them, didn't it? And at =such= a coincidentally opportune moment. If that is ever proven, the reaction to it will be a nightmare for the Aldmeri Dominion. Dunmer are everywhere; shocked, saddened, a bit lost. Prove to them that any one power was responsible for all those deaths, the effective loss of their homeland, and all those refugees and emigrees will have a reason to act. And they won't be nice about it.

Then your char is not from morrowind, where slavery is part of their culture.

They brutally destroyed Valenwood.....
