Mark Item as Stolen?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 6:37 am

Is it possible to mark an item as "Stolen" no matter what happens (for example, when it's crafted)? I mean...no matter in which circumstances is acquired?

Thanks and Regards,

I guess all you'd have to do is, set the owner to something else than the Player/PlayerFaction.

Maybe do like Xetrill, and give the ownership to some random NPC you create and don't put ingame or someone like Maven Black-Briar as she is essential anyway.
I assume you are trying to make it disappear from the PCs inventory when talking to some guard or something?
As that can be scripted if you're up for it.

Thanks guys. You confirmed what I was thinking...but I was afraid that the "stolen" flag was only added if the theft was recognized by the game, not that it was a "not owner" property of the item.

In fact I am trying to make some craftable and very expensive item "forbidden" in order to force the player to find an appropriate buyer. :)

Could give it a keyword so it wont show up on a merchants list of stuff theyll buy unless they buy that keyword item
