Skyrim is by far one of the BEST RPG games I've played and it's so difficult to resist! Although, I have wondered about Skyrim further into 2012 and if there will be any sort of new patches or expansions that will be implemented. Perhaps expansion of the world map and new areas and major quests lines?

Doubt the world map will be expanded... but rather that new quest lines would utilize the region that exists.

That's what I expect at any rate..... who knows.

Lets hope there will be huge amazing expansions. Bethesda said they make SI sized expansions and improve the game.

Yes they have mentioned adding larger scale expansions. Very early on Todd also stated that he'd like to revisit the city of Daggerfall (a city from Elder Scrolls II in the neighboring province of High Rock). Whether or not they still plan on revisiting the city is up in the air.

I kinda doubt any DLC or expansion that shrunk the world (literally or metaphorically) would be all that much of a success.

I'm sure there will be more to do in Skyrim, but I'm not so sure about 'expanding' the map. I wouldn't be surprised if we were able to go to other provinces or continents though. Or any other weird areas, like daedric realms.

Judging by typical expansions- for games like Morrowind, Oblivion, FO3, NV (which isn't Bethesda, but is so similar I wouldn't be surprised that it influened TESV)- What we'll probably see is a journey somewhere else with it's own separate world map. Maybe to some island in another part of Tamriel, or into another Daedric Realm.

That said, we'll probably see at least one expansion that remains in Skyrim and gives access to some sort of special player house with extra amenities (arcane enchanter, smelter, smithing table, alchemy table, ingredient garden, atronach workshop, ore transmuter, etc) since those seem to be common as well.

I have a feeling there will be something for the Nightingales. The bat cave needs to be updated.

Well the first expansion/dlc is supposed to feature Blacklight, a city in the north west area of Morrowind just outside the Skyrim Border, not sure what the dlc will have the player doing but for some reason most people seem to think that it will involve an arena or tournement of some kind.

I just hope they implement something soon. Most of the Skyrim fans I know are beginning to get worn out after they killed Alduin and done most of the major quests lines

I was very disappointed when I came to a road, that hadn't ended yet, and the game literally prompted me with "you cannot go passed this point."
