Game Settings:

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 4:10 pm

I noticed that things like jumping, swimming and falling are controlled by their set values in the Gameplay -> Settings... menu.

Is it possible to manipulate these through a script say for a Magic Effect?

I currently have a spell that mulitplies the magnitude of a characters speed when cast and it works great. What I'd like to do now is add to this ME (or to its Spell through another ME) the ability to jump higher while also reducing or removing falling damage. But only for the duration of the Spell.

Can this be done?

If it's possible, I don't know how to do it. However, I was curious and I have noticed there is an Actor Value named JumpingBonus and there is an option to Modify Falling Damage in a perk. I have not tested them though.

Unfortunately, Papyrus lacks any method for manipulating Game Settings, so this is something we'll have to wait on SKSE for.
