Deadlier traps!

Nothing is as scary as old school NES or Apple II RPG traps. Open a chest? LOL Your character turned to ash and cannot be resurrected!

I remember a mod in Oblivion that made all traps instant kill IMO it should be instant kill no matter what.

Anyone who invests perk points into Sneak makes traps almost entirely a moot point, except for tripwires which are obvious. When you see oil slicks on the floor, it is pretty obvious there is a trap ahead of some sort. I think the traps themselves are just silly really and it has nothing to do with the damage but how easily detectable they are. They all share the exact same formula. Pressure plates are completely obvious. My only fear is when I kill a skeleton and the bones fly everywhere setting off traps...

Yea, I don't really like that my character can get impaled by several large spikes and shrug it off like a skeever bite. Doesn't really matter anyway, now that I have the lightfoot perk. Got it thinking it would only work when sneaking (it is a sneak perk), but alas, traps don't trigger even when jumping up and down on the pads. Can't even use traps against enemies now.

Drop an item on the plate and move. Tada!

I have a huge Steel Waraxe I drop on plates when I get bored to eliminate enemies.

The traps kill my Mage if he is not careful. Powerful but pretty fragile in his Robes. My Battlemage is pushing the armor cap and he pretty well ignores traps.

I do like to svcker the baddies into them and I'll take some extra time just for that even though I could just kill them

This is known as `dumbing down` because |Bethesda thinks you`d find it no `fun` and can`t handle a trap near killing you, so they make traps idiotic.

No. Traps were like this to some extent in Morrowind as well. Not in terms of structure, but in terms of damage. They might kill at very low levels but above that they were nothing but a minor inconvenience.
