Any way to dump gold?

Sounds like you are doing well for yourself there in the world of Skyrim...Buy a bunch of houses in different cities, become Thane in as many as possible, blow it on drinks at the local tavern or Inn. Have fun with it.

None of my characters has more than two houses and none of them have more cash on hand than they would need to buy another house. I can see that it's possible to make a lot of gold (e.g. by crafting daggers and enchanting them with Banish) but that's deliberately goingg out of your way to make gold. I would also think that you make a lot of gold naturally when your character is level 40 or 50, but my view is that the game is designed up to about level 40 and if you go beyond that you should expect things like the financial challenge or gaming challenge to break.

That said, if you simply MUST have a gold sink .... how about the ability to melt down your gold in a forge and use the special septim ingots to craft ceremonial arms and armor? You could pick from any of the existing armor series and give full sets to each of your followers.

Yes, you can drop it at the altar in the temple of kynareth in whiterun, for example. Consider it a donation. Go on, my son.

Seriously, the game would get really dull if everyone was forced to haul every single piece of valuable loot around, and make countless and tedious vendor circuits to unload their inventory. I only take stuff with a weight of 1 and below, with a few notable exceptions, and I still have plenty of gold.

Make pilgrimage to every shrine and temple of the nine in the Skyrim and donate great gold pile at the front of every altar. Or make your nest on somewhere and gather all your gold and other treasures there to have a huge pile.

The donation ideas would be cute if they applied at all to the game.

If I donated my entire fortune, 1 septim at a time, to a homeless person - the game wouldn't give a damn. And that's the problem I'm having, that there's nothing Bethesda planned for the player to do after the MQ was completed. They allowed for less emergent gameplay than they've been given credit for.

not to get to suggestive but golds heavy, tie a big enough bag of it to you know who's *clothing article* and it will fall off. Money does bring happiness. On a kinda unrelated note, maybe you could spend it on lobbiest to legalize spears.
