Little girl voice actor hilarious

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 9:11 am

If you ask Babette what she has for sale, she says "Got a pretty full stock of potions and alchemy reagents" but the girl that voiced her didn't pronounce alchemy right so it comes out like "alechamy" and it's funny as hell.

Spoiler
To think someone who is 300 still can't pronounce words correctly...heh

Kids in Skyrim are hilarious. If you agree with my post http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1327690-idea-child-adoption-and-family-enhancement/ then could you post this there to help my arguement. I hope that they will improve children character interactions and include more dialogue with kids

I always play tag with them and its funny when lars says his dad calls him a milk drinker

I like it when they don`t say things perfectly. Realistic.

Always annoys me in movies when everyone talks perfectly in time and no one ever crosses over themselves or says it wrong.

Except Americans when they say Worcester sauce. :P

I really wish the kids had a larger variety. Though overall they are pretty good!

The voice actors aren't necessarily that young. AFAIK, child voices are usually done by advlt women.

This is quite true, but in this case at least one of those voices actually sounds like a real little girl. In cases like FO3 they had to use advlt women who can sound like little boys\girls due to swearing and dodgy subjects, but I think they may really have a little girl here.

But you`re probably right.

So the voice actress was particularly talented. ;)

I remember some old adventure game that had a little girl character whose voice sounded quite convincing to me. I was pretty surprised to learn that the voice actress was about 50 years old.

Naw, they are definitely little kids. Probably the kids of the voice director or something. I think there is one that pronounces college "collegg".

I'm more annoyed how so many Imperials have Latin names but do not pronounce them in Latin, Cicero being the greatest example.

Being annoyed by that is like being annoyed by firearm inaccuracies in film (which I am). You can rage all you want but the general public doesn't know enough to give a [censored].

True. It's a shame really, Latin is a nice language.

But still, Cicero should be pronounced [kikero] not [sisero].
Why name a lunatic assassin after a famous real-life orator anyway?

EDIT: I am as well annoyed by firearm inaccuracies, especially by dual wielding and shooting one handed though they are mostly just insanities than inaccuracies.

Ok, you`re probably just joking but I`m going to explain it anyway... Now people will need to think very carefully about this.

You need to suspend your disbelief. Nirn is NOT Earth.

You`re making the mistake of NOT putting yourself into the world of Nirn. In the world of Nirn, there`s no such thing as Earth or if earth exists far away, no one of Nirn knows about it. There`s no such thing as Latin.

By that reasoning everything in Nirn has developed entirely separately from earth and everything you see is simply a coincidence when it appears similar to Earth. So for instance, the similarity of the Imperials to earth Romans is coincidence or perhaps even a logcal path all Human species on different planets go through. The word Cicero in Nirn world may have similar but not the same meanings as Earth, therfore, Cicero and similar words need not have to sound Latin at all.

Now of course, WE know that Nirn is a made up fantasy taken from Human ideas of our real history, but that`s not the point, you still need to separate Nirn from such exact critcisms of Latin dialogue, since Latin even if the words used in Nirn appear latin to us of Earth doesn`t actually exist - on Nirn.

Now if we were talking about a game of real-life Roman Historical times and warfare, you would be well in your rights to criticise Cicero for not being pronounced in Latin.

Have you ever *met* any children? I remember being a child once, going to school. Most kids are stupid and certainly given to bragging.
