Is this game only single player or does it have multiplayer also? Also, I am looking to buy this for either PC or Xbox are they basically the same?

Single player only. No multiplayer is supported by the developer.

If you can play it on PC (meaning you have a PC that isn't awful) go for PC. Mods are ftw.

This is a single player only game. The experience is *mostly* the same on either platform, however if you get it for PC, there will be mods available for you to download that aren't currently available for consoles. Mods are changes to the game, whether they are cosmetic (NPC/player features, graphics, etc), mechanic (how your inventory works, the strength/damage of enemies) or physical (adding weapons, armor, towns, quests, etc).

For many people, mods continually add to the experience and add longevity to the game. However, even without them, people are logging hundreds of hours in just the 'vanilla' version
