Merging files and restoring original content.

I've been trying to find a location in Tamriel to connect my dungeon/area to, but I want it to fit into the current world without sticking out too obviously. I've messed around with a few different locations, but there is a problem I keep running into. If I start changing a cell around, and then later give up on it and decide that it just isn't going to work for what I'm trying to do, is there any way to return it to it's original state (If I've already saved)? So far I've been creating whole new plugins for deciding/building my changes to the Tamriel overworld so I don't permanently mess something up on my main plugin file. Is it possible for me to merge the other plugins I edit things on, with my main one?

Thanks for the help!

Right now I you could use TesVsnip or Skyedit to drag all the components from one of your files to another one. Eventually more especialised aplications will appear, but right now I suppose this is the best method.

TESVSnip is great, becareful on skyedit thought because if it does not support some nodes it can have unexpected results, i had to redo a couple of books due to skyedit
