Sigh... a bit sad...

I know there are others that empathize with me. I deliberately tried to avoid going on-line for information during my first play through as a mostly evil thief/assassin. Focused on the thieves guild questline for most of my first 50 levels of play. SERIOUSLY, I DINGED LEVEL 50 BEFORE BECOMING LEADER OF THE THIEVES GUILD...sigh.

But, I am playing on Master and it was quite difficult at times. Often, I'd buff up and backstab from stealth a named boss enemy and only take down like a third of his health.

Then, all I did is whack the old lady at the orphanage and within minutes of sleeping I end up with gauntlets that DOUBLE my backstab damage!!!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!

Okay, I'm better now. Looking forward to pwning my ass off with these new gloves as I do the Dark Brotherhood questline now...

;-)

You can't disenchant either of the varients of shrouded gloves/hand wraps.

I'm so sad you didn't know about that.

My thieves tend to quest in DB gear whether they killed Astrid or joined her happy family. Even my warrior has found use of pieces of the DB gear because that muffle on the boots is, well... zomg.

my current character is actually doing both simultaneously and carries both sets of gear to mix and match as she needs.

enjoy! it's a really fun chain.

LOL yea, My Shadow Warrior has been wearing the Ancient Assassin Armor for the last 30 levels hahaha (lvl 55 now) I also have the Nightingale armor, but I'm an archer, so the Sin armor is more my thing :)

Without looking I know this is not possible... otherwise, the entire game would be broken.

I really like all the armor sets (need to make sure I get that ancient version) so I'm planning to literally carry Guild Leader, Nightingale, and DB armor. I play archer outside, but in most interior environments I find that its more fun to take people out one by one from behind. I'm so squishy that aggro from more than one enemy indoors pretty much means I need to run (lame) or summon something to draw aggro. Leave Lydia at the entrance as she'll give me away every time on Master. I LOVE Sanguine for those multi-enemy fights... he draws aggro like nobody's business. Allows me to pick off the weaker enemies and then go in for the kill after everyone has been poisoned into a quivering pile of armor.

Oh yeah, I also pulled a leather helmet of major archery (25%) early in the game (level 20'ish I think) so I have yet to find headgear on any of these named sets that beats that.

OMG hahahaha yea, I summon my dremora when I need a tank, too! Plus, he gets the heat of me and I can vanish into the shadows again and silently take down my enemies! 100 in Sneak rocks! LOL
