Most irritating thing ever

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 9:23 pm

I get this irritating glitch whenever I'm inside an interior cell. As I move my head around, it almost lags, or 'jumps'. It's very hard to describe, but I'm sure if you go inside somewhere, it will do so for you. When I look around inside, the camera doesn't move smoothely, and instead jumps, or sticks, or bumps... something like that. If someone could please try, I'm desperate for help as this is hard to describe, but it's just so irritating.

Are you getting a drop in fps? If so, it could be related to more specific things in interiors. Shadows, lighting effects, etc. could contribute to lag. Depending on what settings your running at, you could try turning down shadows.

If you're on PC, give one of the optimizer plugins a shot (TESVAL or SkyBoost.) I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about, and they helped a lot (I think Arisu even said something about the optimizations helping with mouse lag in addition to boosting FPS when he first released it.)

I have had the exact same problems. The only thing that seems to work is quick save, close game an reopen. Fortunately it doesn't happen too often...

Occasionally the game will start to stutter after loading into a new area for me (but is not limited to interiors). It should have nothing to do with my computer hardware/memory. I found tabbing out and back in fixed it for me. -shrug- You might give that a try.

It could be your mouse. Are you using a wireless one?

I often get the same problem. There are some .ini file fixes you can try (that helped me). Also try restarting Skyrim as that also solves the issue for me.

Trust me - it isn't the hardware nor is it a wireless mouse issue. It is a bug. Try the tab out thing Rainshine mentioned (I never tried it). If it doesn't work then quick save, quit and re-open game.
