"Room markers" in exterior areas?

Hi there, I've got an issue with an exterior space containing a rather elaborate set of new elements (a courtyard surrounded by high walls). When I exit from a building there and step into the courtyard, there seem to be too many objects, which is why not all of them are loaded. I need to quickload to see them all. Is there a way of limiting the visibility in an exterior area, similar to room markers? Portals would even be an option here because I could restrict visibility to the walls. Or can you use room markers in exteriors / world space? I doubt that because one would have to convert the entire rest of Skyrim into a separate "room".

I'd love the answer to these questions as well. Has anyone used room markers in exterior cells?

The exterior/largescale equivalent for roombounds is http://www.creationkit.com/Editing_MultiBounds.

Don't use roombounds in exterior cells. I tried it and it deleted half the objects in my mod.
Luckily I had backups
