Do the Dragons pick living creatures up into the air and dro

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 1:14 pm

I thought Dragons would pick creatures up and drop them - but I have yet to see this and have played steadily since 11/11.

Did I make this up in my head?

No, it doesn't seem to be unscripted, unfortunatley. It's a shame too, I was really looking forward to seeing some Dragons do it on Giants.

Just another unfortunate shortcoming of Dragons that further detriments the immersion of the game. Who knows, maybe they will make a Mod for it.

You're right I haven't seen anything either 200+ hrs in. I thought it was unscripted. That stinks.

There are at least two instances of this happening as scripted events in the main quest (the first being in Helgen), but yeah, it doesn't happen on its own.

Promises promises. I remember one game that developers claimed that npc's might learn certain behaviors. Addict npc's might learn that they could attack other npc for their money. Im almost certain that was Oblivion. Of course it never happened. AI still hasnt come nearly far enough for that stuff.

I've seen it, ONCE, unscripted but I think it might've been a minor glitch. Alduin and Odaving are scripted to do this but this particular unamed dragon did this with a bandit. I know Bethesda shows us gameplay of Skyrim from Riverwood to Bleak Falls Barrow and then to the plains of whiterun hold and we do see a dragon pick up a giant and drop him, but I have never seen that in game.

I have actually seen this once, I was fighting an elder dragon outside of Windhelm's main bridge entrance. The dragon flew in, grabbed a soldier off the eastern wall and dropped him in the river instantly killing him before he actually hit the water. It was pretty awesome but sadly, as I said, I've only seen this happen once.

I have seen this a few times but it doesn't happen often. One particular named dragon you meet during the MQ tossed a guard like a rag doll, my thrall Orchendor has been picked up and I emerged from the DB Sanctuary to see an Ancient Dragon pick up the male Khajiit follower from the caravan and drop him to near death.

It does happen. I've seen it happen to normal enemies before, and a dragon has done it to me too.

I have yet to see this unscripted or a dragon crash landing due to damage taken in the air.

It doesn`t bother me that much. Picking up someone is potentially dangerous because they just might stabbedd you where it really hurts.

I saw a dragon pick up a mammoth and drop it from a great height.

And once a Dragon grabbed me and dropped me from a great height.

Yes they do. I was battling a dragon and some Forsworn when another dragon came from nowhere, snapped up a Forsworn and took off with him

I have been picked up by nothing and dropped, couple times. I have also seen Mammoths just suddenly fly up into the air only to fall to their death. Dragons carrying things....no.

I've seen dragons crash land on a couple of occasions. I saw a guard get picked up by the first dragon you fight. Haven't seen it since.

I'm more bothered in the lack of variety of shouts they use. You'd think some of the frosty dragons would use Ice Form at least.
