Hello!

I decided to download the creation kit today. For starters, i simply wanted to improve an already existing enchantment on an item. In this case, the Archmage Robes.

I did everything that i could think of is necessary. I set the new mod as the active file, i specifically looked up the Enchantment that the robes used. Changed the values, then also re-writ the description on the Robes to fit the change.

When i load the game with the new mod, the only thing that has changed is the description. What am i doing wrong here?

Try to unequip the robes and equip them again. Altered enchantment effects on stuff you wear aren't updated until you do this. Problem is that any old effects to actor values you had applied will still be effective. So the best idea is to unequip the robes, save, activate your mod, load the save and equip the robes.
