Looking for positive and negative feedback on my mage warrior build.

High Elf, playing on Master difficulty. So far I'm level 18 and haven't had much trouble. This is what I'm building towards. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated!

Tip 1: It's fairly useless to obsess over builds in this game. First, it's a single player game. 2nd, you can change your character's direction at any time just by starting to use new skills. And third, the game isn't that challenging anyway, unless you artificially constrain yourself from doing certain things.

Tip 2: A build calculator for Skyrim is about as useful as a strategy guide for tic-tac-toe.

Some points to ponder:

Skip Dual-Casting for Restoration, it's actually less efficient for healing. Also, consider skipping Corpus Enchanter, and take Storm Enchanter instead to get to Dual Enchanting... Corpus Enchanter svcks very, very hard, and getting tougher Lightning enchants is not a bad thing.

I like how you are getting perked for magical defense, especially with Atronach perk. Good call... consider getting the Atronach Stone ASAP, and just keeping it on forever. I also like how you are getting 2-Handed going... it will make life easier for you. However, don't be afraid to pop 2 perks into Blocking: Shield Wall 1 and Quick Reflexes... useful for taking on more than one guy at a time in melee without having to run and heal so much.

As for Conjuration, you might have an easier/more convenient time with Atronachs instead of Undead, but you'll be fine either way, I'm sure.

There's a caveat with Conjuration and Spell Absorption though. If you want to use Conjuration, and you're on a console, DO NOT use the Atronach stone, or take the spell absorption perk from Alteration. Summoning spells target your character, so they're affected by your spell absorption. Which makes summons fail frequently.
If you're on PC, there's a mod that fixes this, but on consoles, there's no telling if Beth will patch to fix the bug, and when.

Ahhh right! Good catch, man... I always forget that, because I use the mod -- but this innocent poster here we're trying to help may not even have the PC version.

So... what Slaphead said: get mod, or don't use Atronach Stone/Perk. Spell absorb will even mess with Quick Reflexes and Shadow Warrior perks.

I don't know much about this, in fact the perk system confuses me a bit, but yours looks just as good as any I've seen lol.

I've never heard of this bug before. I play on PS3 (unfortunately). I don't understand how having magic absorption would make summons fail (I believe you I just don't understand)

With Spell Absorb and Conjuration, it's just the atronachs and daedra that are affected... using necromancy to raise the dead works just fine without any bugs at all. The reason that atronachs get absorbed is due to how the game engine targets the environment. The spells use the player as a base, and then determine how far away the summons can spawn from the player... this results in making the player the actual "target" of the spell, and since it is not a healing spell, it can get absorbed. :)

Perks, though. They go in once and that's it. Just based on that, it's almost worth it to use a build calculator if you want to be that particular.
